Very Light Jets (VLJ's)

Travel a thousand miles in style in just three hours. This kind of air travel for many people means just one thing - flying by private jet. But for most people the dream up until now has been just that - a dream.

But for how much longer? Thanks to new airplane technology and design, traveling or even owning a private business jet could become a realty for more people. With prices starting at around $1.5 million, a private jet could soon be within reach of more private companies and individuals.

This new type of small jet is know as a Very Light Jet or VLJ. Some models are capable or flying you a thousand miles in about three hours in luxury - although not always with toilet facilities!

Prices range from $1.36 million for a five-seat jet to around $3 million for seven or eight passenger VLJs.
